In 6mgel, the patented high speed agarose gel electrophoresis, electrodes contact agarose gel directly so that running buffer is eliminated. Gel body is immersed under deionized water instead of running buffer.

This simple change gains surprised advantages of electrophoresis

Deionized water, an electric insulator, suppresses electric current to prevent massive heat generation so that the water volume can be added as much as desire.

Water, the most potent coolant, absorbs heat from gel body efficiently and evenly so that straight banding across the entire gel is achieved.

Much higher voltage, such as 250V, can be applied to drive rapid sample migration. Sample diffusion is substantially reduced during agarose gel electrophoresis.
