Coating Cover slips via advanced bio-coating techniques

In collaborating with The Saban Research Institute, Biokeystone utilizes its established expertise of advanced bio-coating techniques to explore polylysine coating for neurite growth guidance. 

When the coated cover slips were tested in the Simerly laboratory, it was observed that neurite growth cones interpreted the organized PLL micro-coating as a potent guidance cue. While neurite outgrowth was randomly oriented on PLL-coated dark areas (between green PLL tracks), once growth cones met the green PLL tracks, the growth of neurites became directional and traveled horizontally along the green PLL tracks.
