2% agarose is useful for agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA
RNA molecules shorter than 1kb. Concentration higher than 2% agarose will result
in slow micgration.
2% agarose is very strong. You can use higher voltage of electrophoresis, which
does not cause melting of 2% agarose gel.
