1.5% agarose, its properties and recipe
1.5% agarose is useful for agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA
RNA molecules longer than 6kb. Concentration higher than 1.5% agarose will result
in poor separation.
But 0.8 agarose is very fragile. Care should be taken during
electrophoresis of the 0.8 agarose. Reduce the voltage of electrophoresis, which
could cause melting of 0.8 agarose gel.
