gel is for separation of DNA
RNA molecules larger than 6kb. Concentration higher than 0.8 % agarose will result
in poor separation of large bands. But 0.8%agarose is very fragile. Care should be taken during
electrophoresis of the 0.8 agarose. You should reduce the voltage to avoid melting of 0.8 agarose
gel during electrophoresis process. 0.8% agarose gel is not compatible
for small bands. See chart below
